Dear Members and Guests of the Shandaken Women's Network,

Welcome to our social, entrepreneurial, professional and philanthropic network of women and our website.

We cordially invite you to attend our public meetings on the third Tuesday of each month (except January, when we ease into the new year without a formal meeting).

Our meetings begin at 6:00 pm and end by 9:00 pm. We begin with an informal "social" time to network followed by dinner and a guest speaker. Speaker topics of interest may include women's health issues, the arts, gardening, improving our business savvy, financial planning and budgeting and other areas of interest suggested by our membership.

We also allow networking announcements related to your business or community affairs.

We also encourage you to place your brochures, business cards and other announcements on our member table.

We would also like to invite you to our pot luck breakfast Executive Committee meeting which are held the 1st Tuesday of each month from 8 am to 9 am at my home in Mt. Tremper, except January when we take a winter break.

Please let me know a few days in advance if you plan to attend the Executive Committee meeting, so I can plan coffee, tea and seating. Also let me know if you have an agenda item to include.

We need a volunteer to host the February 2008 Executive Committee meeting as I will be unable to host that month.

Eve P. Smith has graciously agreed to be our new Program Coordinator. We are in need of a co-coordinator to help her plan great programs and help find qualified and dynamic speakers. Eve is terrific and you'll love working with her. Please contact me if you'd like to help. I welcome you all.

Are you a great writer or editor? Well we need you to help edit and/or write for the Echo, the SWN E- News. Please give me a call if you'd like to help with your talents too. The more the merrier. Let's pull together to put out a great newsletter. Thanks.
